Writing about your local community gives your readers a reason to come back. This can help you create a loyal following.
4. Use keywords. Try describing what you want to write about in 2 to 3 words. These are your keywords. Use these words though out your post. (Search Engines love keywords and they also help you stay on topic.)

6. Less is more. You post should be around 250 - 500 words long. Most people to not have the patience to read very long articles. This also mean that you should use small paragraphs. They are less intimidating then large sections of text.
7. Numbered lists or bulleted points are easy to digest. Top 10 lists are even better!
8. Use pictures. The words are the most important but a few pictures will definitely spice up your articles.
9. Finish with a great title. Refer to your keywords and use them to create a interesting descriptive title. Look at newspaper headlines for examples.
10. Double check it, spell check it and RE-READ IT!!! It is so much better to find your mistakes before your customers do.
